Meet our New Board Member: Kirsten Sutton
QAI is pleased to announce that Kirsten Sutton has been appointed as our new Board Chair. With a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in technology, software development, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity, Kirsten brings extensive leadership experience that will help guide QAI’s strategic vision.
Kirsten is widely recognized as a transformative leader, having held executive positions at SAP and Vancity, where she spearheaded major initiatives and built high-performing teams. She now leads The NoW of Work’s Technology Programs, helping companies responsibly adopt AI. Her commitment to innovation and her deep expertise in fostering technological growth will be invaluable as QAI continues to expand its role in advancing quantum computing.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kirsten is a highly engaged community leader, serving as a past chair of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, a member of the Government of Canada’s Task Force for Women in the Economy, and a director of Science World. She has been recognized as a YWCA Woman of Distinction and one of Business in Vancouver’s Influential Women in Business.
Her passion for responsible technology adoption and community-driven innovation aligns closely with QAI’s mission. We are excited to have her leadership as we continue to strengthen British Columbia’s quantum ecosystem and drive impactful industry collaboration.
